Microsoft Unveils New Mouse Made of Recycled Ocean Plastic

Microsoft’s new mouse is from the nature-for the nature.  Microsoft unveils the new mouse made of recycled ocean plastic at its Surface event.   Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is aiming to innovate something with the team that brings the change to the planet and that’s how it all started.  This new wireless mouse is made of 20% recycled ocean plastic and 100% plastic-free and its packing is made of a recyclable box.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella promised to create zero waste by changing to carbon damaging and water optimistic in its Final Surface program.  Nadella added, Microsoft would go carbon negative by 2030 last year, with the goal of undoing the greenhouse gas emissions that the company has sent into the Earth’s atmosphere over its lifetime by 2050. Microsoft’s goal to become water positive means it wants to replenish more water than it uses. For example, its Silicon Valley facility features an on-site rainwater collection system and waste treatment plant, allowing non-potable water to be recovered.

Microsoft stated that the shell is made with 20% recycled ocean plastic, which is plastic waste recovered from various waterways and processed into recyclable plastic resin pellets. After that, these pellets are then blended with other materials to produce the shell of the mouse. Microsoft’s experts also kept its packing plastic-free.  The Microsoft ocean plastic mouse comes in a complete recycle box purely made from wood and sugarcane fibers.

Microsoft’s small step for a sustainable journey evolves the innovation in favor of the planet. This eco-friendly mouse has changed the mindset of users for technology barriers.  In innovation, ocean plastic has been used and reclaimed to develop an electronic mouse. Microsoft proved that by using an imperfect material we can make something useful.

Microsoft Ocean Plastic Mouse supports Bluetooth so that you can connect it with your Windows and Laptop. Its long-life battery from a single AA battery also makes it best for use.  You can bring the beautiful Ocean experience by bringing this mouse to your home.  This Ocean Plastic Mouse is available for pre-order in the US and Canada starting on September 22nd, 2021. And it will be available in the worldwide market on October 10th, 2021.
